Editor Jannaral represents PMT in an international journalism training

The Philippine Muslim Today though considered an infant electronic newspaper with its digital format now on the 5th issue is going international.

This is in our efforts to give a well prepared and professional journalistic writings of our news materials for our Muslim and non-Muslim readers alike.

Julmunir I. Jannaral who carried the banner of Philippine Muslim Today up to Berlin, Germany is among the successful graduates of the Online Training on Conflict Sensitive Journalism (CSJ) particularly applicable for the Mindanao setting.

CSJ was being presented by among the professional journalists from Germany done through a Webinar by Zoom Platform.

The Online Training for Conflict Sensitive Journalism (CSJ) is applicable for Mindanao setting. It is being hosted by the Andrea Marshall M.A., Project Manager |Journalist Trainer, Asia & Europe Division    Deutsche Welle (DW), Akademie; and Online Lecturer Sheila Mysorekar, and Martin Schmidt who are all based in Berlin, Germany.

Hence, due to the COVID-19 pandemic where a face to face lecture is not possible, the training as mentioned is via Online using the Zoom Platform where trainers all the way from Germany interact acted freely with the student trainees based in the different parts of the Philippines.

Sheila Mysorekar, one of the trainers from DW Akademie admitted that it is also their first time to conduct an online training by Webinar.

Hence, the Philippine Muslim Today as represented by Managing Editor Jannaral was congratulated by Anke Melzer as the Project Head of Deutsche Welle (DW) in Berlin, Germany as among the successful graduates of the Webinar.

In the same manner, the PMT Managing Editor received a Certificate of Media Development and certified for successfully completing the training on Conflict Sensitive Journalism as part of the project Conflict Transformation in Mindanao. It is duly signed by
Carsten von Nahmen, Managing Director of DW Akademie of Berlin, Germany.
