COTABATO CITY – Members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) from the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) under Chairman Prof. Nur Misuari have pooled resources to help victims here and Maguindanao del Norte as well as other localities in the Bangsamoro region affected by Storm Paeng which hit the areas since Friday dawn.




Member of Parliament (MP) Abdulaziz Amenoden told Philippine Muslim Today that in a meeting with their MNLF colleagues in the BTA, they have agreed to donate P1 Million to assist the storm’s victims.
Amenoden said the following MNLF MPs have pledged their contributions which amounted to P1 million as follows:
MP Abdulkarim Misuari- 100k; MP Abdul Aziz Amenoden – 100k; MP Tata – 150k; MP Nur Redha – 100k; MP Hamid – 100k; MP Bong Parcasio – 250k; MP Denmartin – 200k
Allocation of the relief assistance shall be distributed to the following Bangsamoro localities:
P500k is allocated to Cotabato/Maguindanao (in cash and in kind) for the following areas: Datu Blah Sinsuat, Liguasan Marsh, Lebak, Simone, Cotabato City.
Each affected family will receive a cash assistance of P1-k.
In Zamboanga, while waiting for data, the group allocates P200-k, and in Sulu, also waiting for data, is allotted P250-k.
Amenoden said they have already contacted coordinators for each of the provinces and positioned 840 packed goods for immediate release to nearby areas.
