MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur — Here’s a good news for the Maranaos. They can now go to Davao City in one bus ride without transferring from one ride to another as the usual way of going to Davao from Marawi and vice versa.
Yes, the Davao-Marawi bus route called FRIENDSHIP ROUTE has launched its first trip on Thursday, Feb. 23.
Dubbed as “Friendship Route,” it is less expensive and safe. Bus fares may range from P650 to P900 per pax. They pass through concrete roads and bridges making travels safe. Plus, passengers have the opportunity for sight-seeing as the road trails pass beautiful sceneries along the way.
Fifteen Mindanao Star buses will ply the route via Davao-Maramag-Talakag-Cagayan-Iligan-Marawi, fostering more economic activities and cultural exchanges among regions.
This is one of the three new inter-regional routes operating in BARMM launched by LTFRB, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and LTFRB-BARMM on Wednesday at the Rizal Park in Marawi City.
The other two routes are Iligan City – Lanao del Norte – Marawi City, Lanao del Sur and General Santos – Dipolog via Cotobato.
