COTABATO CITY: The joint elements of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-2 and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-RO BARMM) arrested a drug suspect in a joint buy-bust operation in Barangay Macao, Balabagan, Lanao del Sur on Tuesday February 15 at around 11 in the morning.

WestMinCom Commander Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr. on Thursday said that based on the report from the ground, the apprehended personality was identified as Samsodin Pascan Ara, who is allegedly involved in the drug trade in the areas of Balabagan in Lanao del Sur.
The operation also resulted in the confiscation of two M14 rifles, more or less 100 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, known as “Shabu”, one black Suzuki multicab, one black leatherette wallet bag containing voter’s ID and driver’s license, and one genuine P1,000.00 bill placed on top of two bundles of photocopied P1,000.00 bills used as buy-bust money.
The suspect and the recovered items are already in the custody of the PDEA-RO BARMM for proper disposition.
Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of Joint Task Force Central, ensured that the respective units of the task force will attune their efforts in upholding the advocacy of the President Rodrigo Duterte in its anti-drug campaign. (JIJ)
