Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom) Chief Maj. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr. visited the troops of Joint Task Force Sulu over the weekend. On his arrival at the 11th Infantry Division/Joint Task Force Sulu headquarters in Busbus, Jolo, Sulu, he was welcomed by the Sulu troopers led by Maj. Gen. William Gonzales.

Major Andrew Linao, spokesman of WestMinCom on Monday said a briefing regarding the accomplishments and current campaigns of the unit was presented to the WestMinCom commander like the series of the return to the fold of the law of the members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) terrorists.
After which, Maj. Gen. Rosario, Jr. advised the soldiers to always practice the 5Ps. These 5Ps include Planning, Preparation, Performance, Play, and Prayers. After which he visited two of the three infantry brigades in the province of Sulu. He first visited the 1101st Infantry Brigade at Bud Bayug, Barangay Samak, Talipao, Sulu. Col. Eugenio Boquio, commander of the 1101Bde received the WestMinCom commander during his arrival.
He also took time to visit the 1103rd Infantry Brigade in Barangay Bonbon, Patikul, Sulu on the same day. He was accompanied by Maj. Gen. Gonzales, 1102nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Antonio Bautista, Col. Boquio, and the triad officers of WestMinCom.
Brig. Gen. Benjamin Batara, Jr., commander of the 1103Bde welcomed the distinguished visitors on their arrival. Also, the Brigade Commander presented a unit briefing to Maj. Gen. Rosario, Jr.
In his visit to the military units in Sulu, Maj. Gen. Rosario, Jr. had his traditional talk to troops to boost the morale of the soldiers. During his talk to the soldiers of the abovementioned units, Maj. Gen. Rosario, Jr. commended them for all their remarkable accomplishments. “You have truly done well as soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,” he said.
“I would also like to thank you for your sacrifices and your efforts. You all deserve a break and you can avail of it during the holiday season. Be sure to spend it with your family and loved ones so that when you come back you are recharged,” the WestMinCom Commander further stated.
“Lastly, in all your endeavors, always practice the 5Ps to ensure success. These 5Ps include Planning, Preparation, Performance, Play, and Prayers.,” he concluded. (JIJ)
