DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana confirmed on Wednesday night, Nov. 18, 2021, that he tested positive again for the Covid-19.

“Hello everyone, yes, I am Covid (-19) positive. This morning I got the result of my swab test yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon after the Senate hearing. I am symptomatic,” Lorenzana said in a message to the media when asked to confirm reports that he is positive again for the sickness.

This is the second time for this year that he tested positive for Covid-19. Last April, he went on quarantine to avoid infecting others in the DND after being positive for the disease.

In 2020, the DND chief tested negative for Covid-19 in March and April after coming into close contact with people infected with the virus.

Lorenzana added that he is fully vaccinated.

“Yes, I’m fully vaxxed. I’ll observe myself for several days after that I’ll have another swab (test),” he added.

Lorenzana has just returned home after making official trips to Spain and Poland last week.
